How to buy a website online

April 30th, 2012

When you buy a website, make sure that it has a lot of text content rich with keywords that apply to the products or services you will be selling or promoting. You want it to have a professional look and feel, but you don’t need it to be too flashy.

Buying a website can have advantages over building one. It just depends whether you have the knowledge or resources to do so. When you are looking to buy a website, make sure it's a complete solution. Some advantages of buying a website are it could be already producing income, ranking for certain keywords or just plain save you a lot of time.

Once you have bought a website, promoting your website will be the key to it’s success along with the content that is in your website. Those are the things you will focus on if you wish to have a successful online business. This is where the work starts. This is what will demand the most of your time, because if you do not promote your website, the customers will never come your website. They won’t be able to find you out of the millions of websites that are out there.

There are several things you will be doing with your new website. First and foremost, you will be writing articles like this one about the products and services you sell and topics related to them. You will also spend time submitting these articles to websites that offer free content to webmasters.

A lot of website owners are hungry for good original content. They go to these content providers and pull articles related to their products and services and put those articles into their websites. Since your article, like the one I am writing here, has an author bio section at the bottom with links to your website, every website owner that inserts your article into their website is now another website that links to you.

That increases your link popularity, which in turn helps you get better listings in search engine results for your keywords. Writing at least one article everyday will move you up in the search engine rankings before you know it. This is my fourth article for the day, just to give you an idea of how much I’m willing to promote my website.

You can also post a lot on blogs and forums that are related to your products or services. In the signature line you put a link to your website. In this subtle way you not only create another website that has a link to your website, but by participating in the forum or blog you may just have users there want to see your website and might want to buy your product or services.

Just remember that when you buy a website, make sure to pick a niche that you are interested in as well as finding a seller that will provide additional information to help you along the way.

5 Ways to Customize Your Facebook Fanpage Timeline

March 12th, 2012

With the deadline for the new Facebook timeline fast approaching on March 30th, 2012, you will need to convert to the new format sooner rather than later. Your current images may not be optimized to fit the new timeline format. You will also need to set a Cover Photo to make your page look more professional. In addition, calls to action on the new Cover Photo are not allowed under the terms of service. So what can we do to continue to get more Likes with the new Timeline format? Below are five ways to customize and optimize your Facebook's timeline...

1. Direct people from your website to a Welcome tab

If you currently have an iframe page tab setup to direct fans to a call to action (most likely to click the "Like" button), it will no longer default to that page from your vanity URL. However. each tab still has an unique URL that you can use to send people directly from your website, article, signature, etc. One benefit of the new tab pages is more horizontal space to get your message across.

2. Point arrows on your Welcome page to the top right

The Like button used to be in the top left area of a Page tab. On the new Facebook tab pages, the Like button is in a fixed position on the top right of the Page tab. If you currently have an arrow on an iframe Page tab, you should probably change it to point to the top right.

3. Use custom tab images for calls to action

On the new Facebook timeline, there are visible tab images (111 x 74 pixels) which contains plenty of room to include text and images. You can get creative with these by adding call to action text within the images too. You can also select which tabs you want to be visible.

4. Add a Click Like arrow to your Profile Picture

Although Facebook doesn’t allow calls to action on your Cover Photo, they don’t say anything about having a call to action on your Profile Picture. You can sneak in a subtle suggestion to click the Like button that’s to the right of your profile picture.

5. Pin and/or Highlight great content on your timeline

You can pin specific content to the top of your timeline and pinned posts will stay at the top for seven days. If you have a particularly popular blog post, be sure to pin it (and pin it again). You can also highlight specific content on your timeline which will increase the size of the post on the timeline.

Make sure to test multiple approaches to find what works best for your brand and remember that people will be more willing to Like your page if they see it as a source of great content that’s relevant to them in some way.

Please post your comments below with any approaches or tips to maximize the new Facebook timeline.

5 Strategies To Drive Visitors Away From Your Website

March 6th, 2012

All of us want visitors to our website but most importantly we want them to stay and buy on our website. Below is a list of five techniques to drive visitors from your website screaming "Get me outta here!" In the event you prefer being alone with your website and don't want all those pesky prospects troubling you, then adhere to the guidelines below and you'll get rid of them quick as a blink.

1. Don't point out on your website what you do or what you sell. Make it a complete secret. It's like a secret club -- your visitors are left in the dark. Have you been to websites like this where you show up and think "What the heck is this site about?" If you're not presenting a clear statement about why your visitors should spend their money (or at least come back again), then you're on your way to the bottom of the pit.

2. Overwhelm visitors with lots of information. It's almost as bad as the "What the heck is this site about?" websites. As a visitor, you know the sites I'm talking about. The page opens and your jaw drops. There is a sea of banners and links almost everywhere. Where do you go? What do you do? I'll tell you what I do: Click the little "x' in the upper right-hand corner to get the heck out of there!

3. Make the ordering process really difficult. There is nothing I love more than putting products into my shopping cart and then spending twenty or so minutes figuring out how to set up an account and pay. Guess what? I sure don't click the 'contact us' button. I click the "x" instead. You've succeeded in getting rid of another pesky visitor who wanted to spend money.

4. Populate your website with out-of-date information and broken links. Phew. You dodged a visitor with that one. They clicked on a link that was broken -- and off they went.

5. Ensure there's no way for an interested prospect or business partner to make contact with you. Heaven forbid, you might get some spam if you have your contact information on your website.

Thank Goodness you don't have those gosh-darned shoppers emailing you while you are trying to read up on your favorite celebrity's romantic endeavors.

Obviously, I'm being goofy, but you do know that these examples are true. You've seen websites that seem like they are trying to drive you away. If you are spending time and energy putting up a website to make money, build a list or for any specific reason, then make sure you do it right!

6 Benefits Of Building Niche Blogs

March 1st, 2012

A "niche" refers to a targeted market with profit potential that is not saturated with competitors. The whole idea is to realize the benefits of building niche blogs and then find the niche markets out there and start building.

Benefit #1

Niche Blogs are essentially niche websites that are alive!

That's because your blog will grow as you continue to publish posts or pages regularly to your blog. In contrast, many niche websites are seldom modified or updated after they are created.

Benefit #2

Blogs are designed to publish and update contents easily once you have them set up, configured and running.

Once you get the hang of it, it's a matter of getting into that habit of writing blog posts and pages and publishing them regularly.

Benefit #3

You can make money with your niche blogs in many ways, such as:

- Publishing third-party ads in your blogs (eg. Google Adsense)

- Recommending affiliate products and services in your blogs (eg. Amazon, Clickbank, etc.)

Benefit #4

Unlike websites, blogs are interactive. Visitors, or blog readers, are usually allowed to post comments for a blog post (or article) to the blog owner.

This 'dialog' helps to build rapport and relationship between the blog owner and his visitors or members.

Benefit #5

Since blogs are usually updated regularly via blog posts and pages, blogs will rank higher in search engines as compared to websites. In contrast, you have to do a lot of tweaking to a niche website through Search Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques.

Search engines will visit your blogs more regularly as you blog more regularly.

Thus, you can also place links of your other websites to get them indexed quickly by the search engines.

Benefit #6

A blog's syndication function is its most powerful benefit!

You can syndicate the contents of your blog by allowing other website publishers to publish your feed (or channel) on their sites. This helps to bring more traffic to your blogs as the visitors of these sites subscribe to your feed via web-based or desktop newsreaders.

8 Tips to Get More Traffic to Your Website

January 10th, 2012

1.) Blog frequently

Most newbies dislike hearing this. Trust me when I say that the struggle for content is ongoing. New bloggers, however, feel like it's just happening to them. The truth is, don't get a blog just to have a blog. Get it and keep it updated. It's the quickest way to gaining traffic.

How often should you blog? Three times a week.
The best days to blog? Some studies have shown that Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday are key days for blogging. However, more importantly I think it's being consistent on the days you do pick to post.

2.) Stay on point

Stay on point, stay on topic. Why? Because if you don't you'll lose readership. Once someone commits to your blog they want to keep reading relevant information on your niche. So don't blog about Aunt Ethel's pot roast recipe unless it relates to your niche.

3.) Plan your blogs

While spontaneity is the catalyst for creativity, planning is a good way to stay on track. Start to map out key dates that you want to blog about that have some relation to your topic - this way when you're at a loss for topics, you can always pick one from your list of planned out blogs.

4.) Invite comments on your blog!

This is really important! The more folks you can get commenting, the quicker your blog will get passed around. If you have a "no comment" feature on your blog, remove it! You want people to be able to comment and give feedback. In fact, at the end of every blog, why not invite readers to comment? If you start getting a lot of responses to this, begin featuring your favorite comments in future blog posts!

5.) Comment on hot topics in the news

The quickest way to get traffic is to get your website featured on a high-traffic site. But how can you do this? By commenting on news stories. Most major news sites have a feature that will list blogs that are talking about the various news stories. Not all websites get featured but: a) iif your topic is related to the story they've featured; and b) you've written an insightful post on the topic, you'll likely get listed.

6.) Digg yourself

Make sure that your website has a social bookmarking feature. Sites like Digg and http://Del.icio.us are great places to get started. You can go there, sign up for an account (very easy to do) and then follow their instructions for bookmarking your individual posts. This is important! You don't want to bookmark the blog but rather, the posts. The posts will then show up in these sites and, hopefully, other folks will bookmark them as well. Even if no one else bookmarks your posts, it doesn't matter. You can still get traffic by being positioned on these sites. Super simple to do, go ahead, give it a shot!

7.) Twitter and Facebook your posts

Have something to say? Sign up and start posting your messages with links back to your posts. You can also post from your smart phone. You can not only use it to promote your posts but whatever you want. It might sound like a "who cares" idea, but it can generate traffic.

8.) Syndicate yourself

Using simple RSS feeds through http://www.FeedBurner.com you can syndicate yourself and let folks subscribe to your blog. If they don't have a way to subscribe to your blog, they may forget you altogether. Once someone subscribes, every time you post new content it will notify them. And the best part? Your messages won't get stuck in someone's spam filter. They'll get the notification, head to your blog and voila! Your readership stays engaged and growing.

It doesn't take much to grow a blog, just a little dedication and creativity. Happy blogging!

Feel free to leave any tips you might have to generate more traffic to your website below in the comments.

Utilizing Autoresponders With Internet Marketing

December 5th, 2011

If you’ve ever dealt with an online business or subscribed to an ezine or other service on the net before, you’ve more than likely received an email from an autoresponder. Even though you may not have recognized it at the time, it was probably an e-mail informing you that the person you were attempting to reach isn’t available. Even though it shows up that somebody else sent the message, it was in fact sent from a great autoresponder.

Although auto responders are good for letting other people know that you are away, they are a lot more important when used as a marketing tool. If you’ve thought about selling products or services on the internet or if you already own your own business, you could greatly make use of autoresponders. In the world of Online marketing - few methods and programs can easily contend with an autoresponder.

As many Internet marketers already know, autoresponders are a fantastic way to put your company on autopilot as well as multiply oneself. With a great autoresponder, just build your preset messages, and choose the timetable that each individual communication will go out. When messages go out is totally up to you, you can distribute them on a daily, weekly or even monthly schedule. You may also use as many messages as you would like, and know without a shadow of a doubt that they'll go out to those on your current customer list when they're supposed to.

Furthermore, you don’t even need to touch it. This will save you considerable time, because your autoresponder will handle virtually all of your electronic mail tasks. It will follow up with your clients as well, helping you save a lot of time. If you had to follow up with every single one of your clients on your own, it could cost a lot of energy that you could easily be utilizing for other things : even spending time with all your family members.

Even if your business doesn’t possess a lot of site visitors now, an autoresponder could help you out. Even though you might not exactly think so, it may do a world of wonders. Regardless of how many site visitors you have, it is best to strive to collect all the opt-ins that you can. The best way to do this is simply by providing high quality services which will keep your guests interested. If you keep them intrigued, they'll gladly sign up to your list with their email in addition to their name, so that you can contact them with future offers. Even though, you may be getting started small, your opt-in list may get really massive before long.

After your list has grown, it's going to quickly be probably the most highly valued assets of your complete company. In order for the list to grow, you’ll must answer emails about your products, services, firm, and what you can do for your clients. You don’t need to commit all day doing this any longer, as you can leave almost everything to your email autoresponder. Your auto responder can answer all of your email questions and provide customers what they want - which will help your company develop.

Just about all autoresponders will allow you to send broadcast mail messages to your entire customer list. They will even let you stay in touch with your visitors and create connections that can keep your buyers coming back. No matter how large or how little your company may be -- an autoresponder is a investment that is worth it.

What does it take to be successful with a Turnkey Niche Website?

July 22nd, 2011

This is a question that comes up a lot and it has, of course, made me really think about the answer. Sometimes when you have achieved success in something you forget exactly how you reached that point, so I’ve decided to put my thoughts down as to what I think you need to be successful with a turnkey niche website.

The Right Mindset

If you’re starting out as a complete newbie in the online arena, at some point you might become frustrated, so to compensate you need to have a positive attitude. It’s so important to believe in yourself and have faith that you too can learn the skills necessary to do this. It’s key, that you need to be in the learning mindset to succeed. Even though you might be using a turnkey niche website there will still be things to learn. Do not listen to those who try and put you down or tell you that what your trying to do won’t work or there is too much competition.

Patience is Key

Although building a website is relatively quick and using a turnkey niche website is even quicker, the process of gaining traffic to it takes time and a consistent effort. Don’t expect to be flooded with visitors the day after you have your website up or for it to rank Number 1 on Google for your chosen term within a week. Getting your website ranked well in the Search Engines takes work and patience, but the rewards can last for years.

Perfection is not Necessary

Don’t waste your time fussing over the ‘little things’ and making sure everything is perfect before you begin promoting your turnkey niche website! The things you should be spending time on is getting traffic to your website – without traffic, NOTHING ELSE MATTERS. So there’s a tiny spelling mistake, a product photo isn’t the best, a product you sell is out of stock with the suppliers - all that is irrelevant unless you have people visiting your website!

Consistency, Consistency, Consistency

When your website is up and running, it needs consistent TLC to be strong and healthy. You need to do your keyword research and get busy link building one way or the other to get your website ranked and traffic coming in. Start chatting in your niche related forums, get posting intelligent comments in blogs, start creating a buzz around your new website and probably the most important item is to constantly add fresh content to your website. Doing this takes time but it slowly starts adding up and you will see traffic coming to your website in Google Analytics and then before you know it sales will start coming in.

Going to the Next Level

Once your turnkey niche website has good traffic and your getting regular sales then there are really only a few things you need to do to take it to the next level:
1) Get More Traffic
2) Improve your conversion rate
3) Increase your product range
4) Keep adding content
You can use the money you are making from your turnkey niche website to plough it back into making all of the above happen.

Conclusion

Hopefully this gives you some idea of what you need to do to be successful with a turnkey niche website. Although it all seems a lot of hard work, it is actually fun (especially when your in a niche that you have interest in) and you will learn so many new skills that you can use to repeat additional websites. Remember, nothing happens without action and that’s the real “secret” – make sure you are busy doing the right things that matter. If you’re ready to get started then checkout our professionally designed turnkey niche websites and go for it!

How to setup a passive income niche website in 30 minutes or less.

June 16th, 2011

Have you ever thought or been thinking about starting a website to make extra money? One of the biggest lessons I've learned by creating websites for people is that most people just don't know where to start or are scared to death about all the technical part involved. So most people give up before they even start. Although we build turnkey niche websites for people to get started fast, I wanted to share how you can setup an internet marketing or niche website in 30 minutes or less.

Step 1: Choosing a Domain Name

Choosing the domain name or web address of your niche website should be considered first and based on the niche you are considering. The domain name should contain the keyword or keywords of your niche. For example, you have chosen Fishing as your niche, then you might pick something like FishingTipsAndTricks.com as your domain name. Once you have made your decision you will need to register your domain name using a registrar like Name.com or GoDaddy. Sometimes hosting providers will offer this service as well.

Step 2: Find a Hosting Provider

When it comes to finding a hosting provider for your passive income niche website, the options are almost endless. This is not a complicated task but it can be a tedious one weeding through all the choices out there. The best way to select a quality web host is to make sure they have competitive prices, WordPress support (preferably 1-click install so there are no technical skills needed) and great support. A few examples of those would be HostGator, BlueHost and DreamHost.

Step 3: Installing WordPress

WordPress is one of the easiest content management systems available and is supported with thousands of plugins to do just about anything. WordPress is fairly easy to install on any server that supports PHP 4.3 or higher and MySQL 4.0 or higher. However, having a 1-click install interface will make it dead simple. This way just about anyone can be up and running in just a few minutes. Depending on the hosting provider, just follow the steps provided by them and you should be able to install WordPress in about 5 minutes.

Step 4: Configuring Your Website

Now that you have WordPress installed, you will probably want to change the default look of your website. There are thousands of free and paid themes available for WordPress. You can do a search in Google for WordPress themes to find one that suits your needs. Once you find the theme you like, you will need to download the zip file.

Installing the Theme

To install any theme on WordPress is pretty simple. Log into your website's administrator panel and click the Appearance menu item on the left hand side.

On the next page, click the tab at the top labeled Install Themes. Then under that click the Upload link.

From here you can Browse to select the theme's zip file and click Install Now to upload and install it to your site.

If it's not already activated, under the Manage Themes tab make sure to activate it by clicking Activate.

Installing Plugins

Adding extra functionality or features to your website is simple too. Chances are a plugin has already been built that can do what you want.

Searching for and installing plugins is snap by clicking on Plugins -> Add New on the left hand side menu.

Here are a few plugins I recommend installing on any new niche website. Remember, the trick is to keep your niche website simple so try to keep the number of plugins installed to a small number. All of these are available through the WordPress plugin dashboard.

  • All-In-One SEO
    • Essential for SEO and easy to use.
  • Contact Form 7
    • The easiest way to add a contact form to your blog.
  • TubePress
    • Easily integrate YouTube Videos into your website.
  • Google Analytics for WordPress
    • Easily integrate your Google Analytics account into your new site
  • Google XML Sitemaps
    • This plugin generates a sitemap for your website and also updates it when changes are made.
  • Quick Adsense
    • Easily insert Google Adsense into pages and/or posts. Great for passive income.

Step 5: Create Your Content

Now that you have your website installed and configured, the last thing is to get it populated with content.  Writing articles based on your niche keywords will help build search engine traffic over time. You will also need to populate it with affiliate programs and/or products related to your niche. Programs such as ClickBank, Amazon or individual affiliate programs can be used. It is recommended that you try to integrate the affiliate programs/products into your articles as well and you will be well on your way to producing passive income on your niche website.

Can You Really Make Money With A Turnkey Website Business?

October 14th, 2010

The answer is a resounding, yes!

First, let me explain what a turnkey website business is. Essentially, all aspects of the website have been designed for you. It is professionally designed, pre-built with proven income producing capabilities and ready to begin promoting from day one.

The two most common types of turnkey websites are Affiliate based and Drop-ship based.

I'm not going to go into great detail about the two, which might be another article, but basically an affiliate website is usually fully automated and promotes other people's products whereas a drop shipping website has a little bit more flexibility in terms of setting prices, profit margins and usually needs some interaction.

If your goal is to earn a full-time income or just supplement your current income, a turnkey website business might be right for you.

Think of it this way. If the turnkey website business you are considering has worked in getting you interested and you in turn sign up, it has probably worked in getting others to do the same. Since the website has a proven track record, there is no need to re-invent the wheel.

You may be thinking that if many people have the same website, how can you possibly make money from yours. You just need to look at it from a different angle. The more times people see it, the more trusted it becomes. Look at the many McDonalds or Starbucks around you. Have multiple locations decreased their credibility? Of course, not!

Here are some features of a turnkey website business that you should be looking for:

1. No technical experience required. You don't need to spend time learning HTML and website design.

2. You can be up and running in a very short period of time, usually in less that 24-48 hours.

3. The website is fully customizable so if there is anything you do not like about the site you can easily adjust it to your preferences.

4. Very low set-up costs as compared to paying someone to custom build a website for you.

5. Pre-loaded with the ability to sell products or services that you did not personally make or provide. Instead you would just promote these products and services and you get paid for doing so.

6. Readily available training and support to help you succeed.

Just be realistic about the website business you decide on and find a subject or type you enjoy. If you plan on making money you must treat it like any other business and build it from the ground up. Put the time and effort that you saved by using a turnkey website business into the advertising and promotion of your website.

We offer a great selection of turnkey websites, so check them out and start building your online business today!
