How to buy a website online
April 30th, 2012
When you buy a website, make sure that it has a lot of text content rich with keywords that apply to the products or services you will be selling or promoting. You want it to have a professional look and feel, but you don’t need it to be too flashy.
Buying a website can have advantages over building one. It just depends whether you have the knowledge or resources to do so. When you are looking to buy a website, make sure it's a complete solution. Some advantages of buying a website are it could be already producing income, ranking for certain keywords or just plain save you a lot of time.
Once you have bought a website, promoting your website will be the key to it’s success along with the content that is in your website. Those are the things you will focus on if you wish to have a successful online business. This is where the work starts. This is what will demand the most of your time, because if you do not promote your website, the customers will never come your website. They won’t be able to find you out of the millions of websites that are out there.
There are several things you will be doing with your new website. First and foremost, you will be writing articles like this one about the products and services you sell and topics related to them. You will also spend time submitting these articles to websites that offer free content to webmasters.
A lot of website owners are hungry for good original content. They go to these content providers and pull articles related to their products and services and put those articles into their websites. Since your article, like the one I am writing here, has an author bio section at the bottom with links to your website, every website owner that inserts your article into their website is now another website that links to you.
That increases your link popularity, which in turn helps you get better listings in search engine results for your keywords. Writing at least one article everyday will move you up in the search engine rankings before you know it. This is my fourth article for the day, just to give you an idea of how much I’m willing to promote my website.
You can also post a lot on blogs and forums that are related to your products or services. In the signature line you put a link to your website. In this subtle way you not only create another website that has a link to your website, but by participating in the forum or blog you may just have users there want to see your website and might want to buy your product or services.
Just remember that when you buy a website, make sure to pick a niche that you are interested in as well as finding a seller that will provide additional information to help you along the way.
5 Strategies To Drive Visitors Away From Your Website
March 6th, 2012
All of us want visitors to our website but most importantly we want them to stay and buy on our website. Below is a list of five techniques to drive visitors from your website screaming "Get me outta here!" In the event you prefer being alone with your website and don't want all those pesky prospects troubling you, then adhere to the guidelines below and you'll get rid of them quick as a blink.
1. Don't point out on your website what you do or what you sell. Make it a complete secret. It's like a secret club -- your visitors are left in the dark. Have you been to websites like this where you show up and think "What the heck is this site about?" If you're not presenting a clear statement about why your visitors should spend their money (or at least come back again), then you're on your way to the bottom of the pit.
2. Overwhelm visitors with lots of information. It's almost as bad as the "What the heck is this site about?" websites. As a visitor, you know the sites I'm talking about. The page opens and your jaw drops. There is a sea of banners and links almost everywhere. Where do you go? What do you do? I'll tell you what I do: Click the little "x' in the upper right-hand corner to get the heck out of there!
3. Make the ordering process really difficult. There is nothing I love more than putting products into my shopping cart and then spending twenty or so minutes figuring out how to set up an account and pay. Guess what? I sure don't click the 'contact us' button. I click the "x" instead. You've succeeded in getting rid of another pesky visitor who wanted to spend money.
4. Populate your website with out-of-date information and broken links. Phew. You dodged a visitor with that one. They clicked on a link that was broken -- and off they went.
5. Ensure there's no way for an interested prospect or business partner to make contact with you. Heaven forbid, you might get some spam if you have your contact information on your website.
Thank Goodness you don't have those gosh-darned shoppers emailing you while you are trying to read up on your favorite celebrity's romantic endeavors.
Obviously, I'm being goofy, but you do know that these examples are true. You've seen websites that seem like they are trying to drive you away. If you are spending time and energy putting up a website to make money, build a list or for any specific reason, then make sure you do it right!
What does it take to be successful with a Turnkey Niche Website?
July 22nd, 2011
This is a question that comes up a lot and it has, of course, made me really think about the answer. Sometimes when you have achieved success in something you forget exactly how you reached that point, so I’ve decided to put my thoughts down as to what I think you need to be successful with a turnkey niche website.
The Right Mindset
If you’re starting out as a complete newbie in the online arena, at some point you might become frustrated, so to compensate you need to have a positive attitude. It’s so important to believe in yourself and have faith that you too can learn the skills necessary to do this. It’s key, that you need to be in the learning mindset to succeed. Even though you might be using a turnkey niche website there will still be things to learn. Do not listen to those who try and put you down or tell you that what your trying to do won’t work or there is too much competition.
Patience is Key
Although building a website is relatively quick and using a turnkey niche website is even quicker, the process of gaining traffic to it takes time and a consistent effort. Don’t expect to be flooded with visitors the day after you have your website up or for it to rank Number 1 on Google for your chosen term within a week. Getting your website ranked well in the Search Engines takes work and patience, but the rewards can last for years.
Perfection is not Necessary
Don’t waste your time fussing over the ‘little things’ and making sure everything is perfect before you begin promoting your turnkey niche website! The things you should be spending time on is getting traffic to your website – without traffic, NOTHING ELSE MATTERS. So there’s a tiny spelling mistake, a product photo isn’t the best, a product you sell is out of stock with the suppliers - all that is irrelevant unless you have people visiting your website!
Consistency, Consistency, Consistency
When your website is up and running, it needs consistent TLC to be strong and healthy. You need to do your keyword research and get busy link building one way or the other to get your website ranked and traffic coming in. Start chatting in your niche related forums, get posting intelligent comments in blogs, start creating a buzz around your new website and probably the most important item is to constantly add fresh content to your website. Doing this takes time but it slowly starts adding up and you will see traffic coming to your website in Google Analytics and then before you know it sales will start coming in.
Going to the Next Level
Once your turnkey niche website has good traffic and your getting regular sales then there are really only a few things you need to do to take it to the next level:
1) Get More Traffic
2) Improve your conversion rate
3) Increase your product range
4) Keep adding content
You can use the money you are making from your turnkey niche website to plough it back into making all of the above happen.
Conclusion
Hopefully this gives you some idea of what you need to do to be successful with a turnkey niche website. Although it all seems a lot of hard work, it is actually fun (especially when your in a niche that you have interest in) and you will learn so many new skills that you can use to repeat additional websites. Remember, nothing happens without action and that’s the real “secret” – make sure you are busy doing the right things that matter. If you’re ready to get started then checkout our professionally designed turnkey niche websites and go for it!
